Here's the rattlesnake I killed in October 2009. It was a shame to kill it; it really was an impressive animal and wanted to live. I just couldn't take the risk of having it near the house and if I caught it (I could have, maybe), then what would I do? I didn't have a way to contain it. It was about 3 feet + long and about 4 inches thick. It had to have eaten a lot of rodents to get to that size. By the way, I forgot to mention, but there are a lot of rodents around, mice, rats, voles, gophers etc.
